Code Snippets

The easiest way to add custom code snippets to your WordPress website is by combing them all into a custom plugin, or by using a code snippet plugin like Code Snippets or similar.
- Run code after import completes
The following code snippet hooks into the event handler and listens for the import_shutdown event, then if the import has the complete status the code will be ran.
- Modifying dates using custom methods
Some WordPress fields need dates in a specific format. Use an Import WP custom method to reformat a date from your CSV or XML file before it is imported.
- Add fields to ImportWP Pro Custom field dropdown list
Register your own keys so they appear in the Import WP Pro custom field dropdown for posts, users, and terms.
- Alter import file encoding
The following code snippet allows you to change the file encoding of the file being imported, this is only neccessary if you see strange symbols in the importer preview.
- Change imported field values programmatically
Use the iwp/template/process_field filter to change a mapped value before it is saved, such as a post date.
- Importing CSV files with multi-character delimiters e.g. “!#”
Import a CSV that uses a multi-character delimiter, such as ||, instead of a single character like a comma.
- How to change an importers unique identifier
Change which fields Import WP uses as the unique identifier so a repeat import updates the same posts or users.
- Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons
Fix WordPress “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons” when Import WP uploads an attachment.
- How to register a custom importer template
