Core posts, pages, users, categories, tags, and attachments work in the free plugin. The WooCommerce, Polylang, WPML, BLM, Excel, and ZIP add-ons are also free. Custom post types, custom fields, ACF, and scheduled cron are Import WP Pro. JetEngine and Pods are Pro add-ons.

Do I need a dedicated plugin per use case?

No. Each page is a workflow on the same visual mapper. Shopify CSV becomes WooCommerce products. A property XML becomes a listing CPT. An RSS feed becomes posts. You map columns and nodes once, set a unique key, and re-run.

When do I need Import WP Pro for these workflows?

When the destination is a custom post type, custom field, or ACF group, or when the file must run on a schedule. Manual CSV/XML into posts, users, and WooCommerce products can start on wordpress.org.
